The school council are elected by our classes and represent our classmates at council meetings.
Recently we wrote to HRH The Duke of Cambridge inviting him to visit the school. Although the Duke was unavailable to attend he had said that he may visit in the future.
The School Council have run a road safety campaign. One of the Council members created a PowerPoint presentation for the pupils. This has been presented in an assembly about road safety.
We have carried out a food survey as Norse wanted feedback on their menu and the members of the Council took the questionnaire back to our classes to discuss this.
We always ask the other children questions about everything that will happen in the school so that we know what they think.
We have also created a welcome card for Taylor Wimpey to place in houses for new home owners. Taylor Wimpey were so pleased to be working with the school that they offered money for a school sensory garden, which is one of our main projects for the future. The also came to demonstrate at school assembly how they build houses.
We also raised funding for play equipment such as the sunken trampoline. This was funded by The Lions who have also now written to the School Council offering to put £1,000 into the sensory garden. The St Christopher’s Coach Fund has also offered £1,000.
